  • Polo GTI front Grille VW badge

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can help. Is a front grill VW badge from a MKIV Golf the same size and mounting as the badge from the Polo GTI?
    Cheers,

    John

Had same question... like how about the front and rear badges?
    06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.

the front isn't hard to remove (once the grill section has been removed), front is larger than the rear one.

        Our question was...

Are they same size as Mk4 Golf VW badges.
        Front and back.

        Cheers

not really going off topic cause the mkiv has a logo which exists in black, so if the diameter and mouting is the same they will fit.

not going to paint it black myself

e-mail Damian at TMTuning in Germany...he should know - plus he'll sell them to you.

                    No.

Since I'm a nice guy here's a link to a cheap front VW Polo badge.

                      Thanks for that Flaps.

The reason I wanted to know is that I'm looking for Black badging but I don't want to paint my original ones just in case I don't like it.
                      Cheers,

                      John

Get some black vinyl. $10 for a square metre and if you don't like it just peal it off.

When i bought my Polo 2nd hand, it came with a spare.

If you don't take the surface off, normal spray paint comes off pretty easily (I've black badged mine).

Thanks guys. I really don't want to go the vinyl option as I don't like the result of vinyl on cars. I'm a firm beleiver that pain always looks better (VWW stickers are an exception )

I can get black badges for $50ish approx + freight so I don't mind the expense. just trying to find out which VW's share the same badges.
                            Cheers,

                            John

I would be suprised if the front badge is shared with older VW's given the mounting design on the back. could well be the same as the current or VI Golfs.
