Thats a dealership one mate.... Another bloke here had an issue when the engine would stall and throw out the power steering.

I had it. Ended up being a faulty ground on the steering wheel angle sensor. That was fixed and no problems since.

it has happened again. steering wheel warning light, esp, abs and handbrake warning lights have all come up all over dash. after these lights come on when driving the car won't start once i switch the car off. didnt take the chance of it not starting so just drove to dealership. hopefully they can figure it out. didnt get the chane of turning off my APR tune. will they still work on my car since its still under warranty?

Could be an ECU fault due to the tune...probably better off taking it back to APR before the dealer...

afraid it was a VW dealership! they tried everything to fix it was in and out all the time, in the end the decide to give my money back, then a guy on anther forum bought the car from VW and he's still having the same problem with it

This will have nothing to do with any ecu tune!!!
                  Totally separate issue...

I had this exact same problem, took it to three different service departments to have it fixed. First two had no idea cleared the fault codes and sent me on my way, third actually fixed the problem. The car was in and out of workshops for about a year trying to get to the bottom of it.

The dealer that eventually fixed it had to get in contact with VW Germany for an answer, they ended up suggesting replacing the wiring loom. Aparently looms aren't just an off the shelf spare part so it had to be made in Germany and shipped out.

Three months later (got a Passat and then a Touareg as loan cars) I got the car back and all has been fine since.

Vag com kept coming up with all these low voltage warnings (I took the car to Dean at Volkspower to get a read out myself) I've probably still got all the details at home if you want any more info.

It was all fixed under warranty and they were well aware of my APR so don't let this worry you if you have a tune.
