  • Who in Sydney has done the black bonnet ???

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of doing my white bonnet black with the red pinstripe. Wanted to know if anyone in Sydney has done it and if you did vinyl or painted? Who did it for you? Were you happy with the job? And how much did they charge.

    Cheers
    Paul

Hmmm, sort of, mine has a black bonnet but the rest of the car is also black..

I would leave it mate, if you ever want to sell it, it might be off putting to a potential buyer.

ok I'm in Perth...but paint it..Vinyl is so "uncertain" and all those Focus, Fiestas and Swifts drive around with their vinyl GT stripes. Paint and be proud!! It only cost me $350 for my black bonnet spray. It looks awesome!!
Still I ain't selling mine in the near future....

Should look good, maybe a little Spoon'ish (Civic)?

                No
                No

And why do I have to? So I'm one of the handful of Polo GTI's not chipped. I'm also one of the handful that pushes the car to the limits at the track.

I'm not doing the entire bonnet black, just following the black grill up to the bonnet.

                  Like Rob's

But I don't think Rob has the red pinstripe on the bonnet?

I can't help you for where to go, though I reckon the painted bonnet looks awesome, make sure you get it done professionally and get the right shade of black (not acrylic, try two pak), I reckon the subaru forester black with the factory gold flecks would look sensational, or black with a light blue pearl.

By doing it properly and looking sensational should not be an issue when you come to sell, or just swap your bonnet with another member.

guess thats what makes the decal / vinyl so appealing... Guess if you could take it off cleanly it would protect your bonnet in the mean time...

                            Hey Floody,

I know a guy who does car wraps (advertising).

If you are interested, I could put you in touch with him.

I'm inquiring on a price to do my car (black strip on the red, with small strip removed to keep the pin stripe look, can let you know the price if you are interested.

I really don't know what price, I guess anymore then $400 and I'd keep looking. If he's doing other stuff on your car and can take the measurements then work out the cost that would be really great.
