  • What's the "GVM" date?

Just looking at the specifications ID stamp in the boot (to the left of the spare tyre) & noticed my cars manufacturing date is Oct 08, but there is another date stamped "GVM 01/09".

Just curious as to what GVM stands for? (I can only find references to weight).

so is that to say that, gross vehicle mass differs from models? i guess when parts change from earlyer models, then weight would differ. but surly it wouldnt differ that much.

Ok so it does refer to weight.

So I guess my stamp has been incorrectly labelled with a date? - It clearly shows "01/09" in the field where a GVM figure should be.
