is the golf 2.0l tdi turbo the same or bigger or could it be a upgrade for the polo gti 07.

I doubt you can use a diesel turbo on a petrol car. They run much higher boost for a start.

Polo runs a KO3s I believe.

Diesel turbos and petrol turbos are sometimes of different construction. Petrol engines have higher exhaust temperatures.
