3" DP and decat!!!

I collected the blue flame downpipe and de cat from someone off uk-polos today anyhow its a great piece of kit so i thought i would take some measurements for people as i can highly recommend purchasing this from blueflame if you want a decat!! anyhow here it is












but i need to get the rest of the system made to match watch this space!!!

one would think you would never get caught unless your service centre dobs you in (unlikely if not the dealership) or get caught by the police doing something crazy and the car gets yellowed for something stupid and a run over the pits is on the cards

Doesn't removing the cat thrown an engine error code?

its a HUGE fine over here, just not worth the risk for the gain

not on yet got a 2.5 inch decat on at the mo but got this at a bargain so couldnt resist, i cant fit it till i save up money to carry it on 3" to the back !! Not illegal in uk not having a cat fitted lots of us do it, and i have had the check light un written from the ecu map for the second o2 sensor! Only thing is you need to know a friendly MOT tester to get through emissions but mine is not up for the yearly test till its 3 years old, then every year!

It seems very strict over there for mods! thought we were bad!!!

3" DP and decat might work well with a bigger turbo, eg GT28RS, as it can generate sufficient flow to both fill a larger diameter and move the gases through it quickly, but a K03S, not so sure. You'll end up with a significant loss in back-pressure and torque. ..anyway I thought this was a thread about floor tiles, can we keep this on track fellas?

yeah not sure if those floor tiles are to my taste, though granted they do look funky

oh nad probably the reason our mods are alot more harshly policed is probabl;y becuase of our crappy roads. last night i sore a pot hole that reminded me of that movie "journey to the centre of the earth"

well ive decided to carry the system on 2.5" from this pipe now as i dont think 3" would fit above my axle anyhow!
