  • Looking at Greenstuff pads, any reason I shouldn't buy them?

    Hey all,

I intend on buying a front pair of Greenstuff pads either today or tomorrow (from www.ebcbrakesdirect.com). Before I part with my cash I thought I'd jump on here and ask if there is any reason I should not buy them, or if there is a cheaper place to get them.

I would have preferred Redstuff but they don't sell them on that site.... and I don't know if Global Auto Spares will get them in just for me.

The main reason I want them is for reduction in brake dust on my wheels, which are black after about 5 days of normal driving....is the difference really that noticeable with Greenstuff.

Cheers in advance for the advice guys.
    Rhys

Rhys, if your not doing track work etc green stuff is fine for daily driving i had those and they where great now on reds but on a few more mods than just that for my brakes

i recently got the green as well.

but just get black wheels and no need to worry about brake dust

probably not the best advice seeing as I've just put on new wheels about 4 weeks ago thats the main reason i'm getting the greens, because there is a lot of dust showing on the new wheels. my last ones were machines alloy and gloss black, they stayed clean for ages.

Have there been any experiences with brake squeel with the greenstuff pads? Read about some of this happening by people on other forums.

No squeal at all when mine were first installed. Definately less brake dust too.

Got mine from the same website Rhys!

just remember. some pads chew alot more than the stock pads, so meaning rotors will need replacing sooner than you expected. That's why theyre' so grippy!
