  • Alternate front skirt owners

Can anyone with this front skirt confirm whether it's actually lower than the standard front skirt & hence needs extra care taken when driving over bumps/deep gutters ect?

Also, does this skirt come stock as the same unpainted black shade as the stock GTI skirts?

It comes unpainted and it sticks out more than the stock one, but not lower. It does make the front a fair bit closer to the ground when going into and out of steep inclines.

That's a factory optional Lip you can order through VW that attaches to the exisiting front bar yeah?

Someone here posted it a few days back.

I doubt that's going to hit anything. The front bar on my old silvia used to be a lot closer to the ground than that and came out a lot further, it was fine. Just don't go into multi story carparks haha

Scroll down to the "9N3 Votex" parts...

That's what i'm worried about - I don't want to be paranoid about every incline I come across, because I know i'll forget one day & be reminded by a screech.

              Does your lip hang low?

Hey guys, I have that kit on my car. Haven't had incline problems yet, but take care when it comes to pavements. Also, anything more than a 15mm drop would be risky stuff...

I love that, Jayrod. Colour-coded skirts make any coloured Polo look 100 times better!

Is that lowered from stock at all?

nice one jayrod, I like that car. I liked the sideskirts black but looking at it now the colour coding does make it look a lot fatter. I think i'll have to invest in that lip for sure.

On a side note, they are 17's right and your car hasn't been lowered yet?

Ah, thanks guys. But alas, no drop in sight. It's a 1.6 sporting some extras. The kit is from VW, as are the 17" rims, Gti headlights, black tail lights and some custom paintwork. If i were to drop it, Gti springs would be sufficient for me.
