  • Legal height and Rear Sway Bar

    Hi all

I was wondering what the forum thinks about legal height and RSB. I have a RSB and it is definitely the lowest point in terms of ground clearance.

In Queensland I believe, the rule is it must be higher than a 100mm at the lowest point.

I would like to install 25mm lower springs (I was thinking H&R) - will it still be legal?

    The way I see it...

As the RSB is attached to an unsprung part of the vehicle, the RSB height will remain constant no matter how much you lower its springs(unless you add different wheels with increased/decreased diameter).
So, what I am saying is, the body height will drop along with anything attached to the sprung part of the body (ie, exhaust), but the rear axle beam along with the RSB will remain the same height above the ground.

    Can anyone confirm/deny this...??

Agree'd. Height of body will change, not un-sprung pieces.
