Yep same as the golf GT I think, ask Guy from APR I think he is really close to a final ECU flash!
IMO it all depends on what you want your Polo for. I have no kids and rarely have passangers in the back seat therefore love the 3 door. Don't need heaps of luggage space although my current GTI is quite roomy with the back seats folded down when I need to! I prefer manual cars over DSG, and by God you have to love the tuning capabilities and the reliability of the 1.8T! This is the main reason I bought the current model. And also the the fact that you have a smogasbord of bolt on upgrade mods available from the Audi A3/TT, VW Golf MK4, Seats, Octavias or even the brakes from a Porsche Boxster to choose from and a massive line up of quality aftermarket performance parts
If you want 4 doors, DSG, 6 speed manual transmission, better stock power output, better fuel economy or don't have any plans to mod the balls off it or just like the look over the old one then the new Polo is for you
