thanks for your posts peoples.
The reason i was going out to Nepean is because thats where my gf got her beetle from and I was looking to use that as ammunition.
A quick scan of car sales shows 3 or 4 cars with similar price tags, yet half the kilometres.
I'll go back with these prices and say knock 5 grand off. if they say yes, I'll think about it, if not, no big deal.
Cheers.PRUDENCE: 2008 POLO CLUB 9N3, 17s, BODY KIT, LOTS OF MEMORIES. FOR SALE HERE

buying second hand
Hi mate,
I don't like your chances, but am interested to hear if you have a victory with that sort of discount.
Its always possible that they need the space for other vehicles and they'll come to the show.
Theres a nice Red GTI with Leather for less than that in Manly, didn't see it, but the gent selling it sounded nice, and I was going for the leather previously...

I'll point to that fact and use it.

There was maybe 3 or 4 people that had their cars delivered in Dec 05, some are or were part of this forum as well as VWVortex. It was also at the Sydney Motorshow in 2005.
As for a Polo GTI 05 from Nepean with 67,000km for $24K ... STAY AWAY. This is a massive amount for a car with this many km and no factory warranty. I've just had a quick look and there are soooo many cars I'd consider before even looking at this one, actually I wouldn't have looked at it as I agree with Blitzen, stay away from Nepean. To be honest, even if you knock $5K off, you could still pay similar money for a car with low low km and perhaps still factory warranty. In fact I found a car with white, 13,512 kms, 07 and $23,990 ... however it was in WA BUT it's almost worth looking at for such low km and just shows how much of a rip the nepean car is. And as someone else, a few more grand and you could almost find a brand new.
2007 VOLKSWAGEN POLO 9N MY2007 GTI, SILVER 12,205 kms $24,990
I know some people don't like redbook, but it's a good guide
VW Polo GTI 2005
Good luck with the search

I paid $21k for an 07 build, 08 delivered GTi with 12,500 from a car yard... Keep looking dude, cos that's criminal pricing. Wouldn't pay more than high teen with that mileage.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI
