Hey guys what sort of specs fit the polo's?

5x100 and Offet in the 40's I'm guessing?

it varies depending when your polo was made, later polo's are 45 offset, correct me anyone if im wrong guys.

For my 06' made GTI mine
          is 5x100 and ET 35 8x17

          If ET38, 7x17 is needed

hmm quick question, why the hell did they change the offset from 35 or 38 to 45? surely there was enough brake clearance to begin with, why change now?

when i first bought my car i tried out the golf 5 gti replicas in 18'

                heres a pic of that

i kept losing tyres due to potholes and the low profile - so i changed over to 17" rims and tyres - and heres a pic of those

but my next move is going to be to keep the tyres and get replica's of the audi TT "PHAT 5's" and have them highly polished like pictured here

heres what they would look like on a Polo

definitely they look magical on a black car when thye are polished as in this black golf 5 - hope mine will look half as good when i do get them - just saving up for those cos they arent exactly cheap - should be ready for them in around three to four months time

earlier models have 43, the later have 38. but my TT wheels are 32 (7.5 wide) and still fit.

i chose 35mm offset on 7x7in wheels as to bring the wheels out a few mm original 38mm! My 18in wheels were 35mm offset x 8in and fit with a bit of arch pull!

i loved those wheels but on a 35 profile tyre the ride and handling was just too bad so i sold em!

                        Ride Height

                        Ouch...

What was the suspension / spring setup for that ride? Looks mean (and mean on your ass).

Why a 3mm difference in offset dictates a change of 25mm in rim width beats me??

my rears are ET38 and 8" wide, they fit fine. will not fit on the front though, they hit the struts straight away. yes i thought they were ET32 but no they are 38. am getting 5mm spacers so they will be ET33 soon.
