Settings for adjustable sway bars???

Hi guys, just wondering for those who have both front and rear adjustable sway bars installed what settings you have them on and the results you have found i.e. neutral through cornering, oversteer etc.

I am just about to have mine installed and was thinking of going with the soft setting for the front and medium for the rear for a neutral streetable combination, any thoughts?

atm mate im pretty sure both mine are on soft and still pretty damn good, so i would say start there then adjust

I currently have my rear swaybar set to hard and I hate it! The snap oversteer you get if you lift off mid corner is unnerving to say the least!

I intend to change it back to medium soon.

Installed the rear on Medium and haven't felt the need to change on or off the track.

Just put a whiteline RSB on this weekend currently set to softest setting.

I have a new whiteline FSB as well but have yet to put it on. (My plan is to sort a few things all at once with the front suspension)

It is an interesting experience, very noticeable - definite improvement. The car does not get that hopeless understeer that it used to. I have to re evaluate my understanding on the car and how it handles - this will take some kilometers. (I figure with the stock FSB having the rear set to soft is the equivalent to medium)

My theory has been to go slow with the settings and adopt over time.

Mine was installed on soft setting and the improvement is fantastic over stock. Next time I take it in for a service I'll get them to set to medium just for curiosity.

Mine is FSB soft (I think there were only 2 settings)
and Medium for RSB.

Been to track twice with this setting. Once with lowering and once without.
Either case, very very predictable steering, yes you will get understeering if you push it. Just the physics.

However, I never ever experienced problems with snap oversteer. It was very very easily controllable.

One of the safest drive I had in cars.

Quite stiff with those on, if you jack up the rear or the front wheel high enough, the opposite (either if front, then rear, or rear then front) will lift slight as well. If you have a curvy drive way, you will feel it a lot.

sorry did you say you had the strut braces as well or on the sway bars?.....how does it handle?

I only have the front Forge strut brace on so far, and both front and rear adjustable sway bars. I have written a little on the feeling so far on the bottom of the what I did to my polo today thread http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...11306&page=111
