Doesn't look too ricey without the grill but it does make it look a little messy. The install looks good but because you can see the tabe where the grill is supposed to be makes it look incomplete.
IMO I'd leave the grill on but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference, do what you want to do as it is your car

My car is black and you cant really see where the grill is supposed to go..
Until you stick your head up nice n close..
I would imagine on a white car or even silver it would be more noticeable..
I might leave it off but find some rubber insert I can sick there to make it look more complete..
Its very noticable without grill on..
I think I have to take bar off to put grill back on anyway...

Do you mean unfinished in respect to the fog lights having the plastic inserts and it not continuing across the front of the car where the intercooler is?
I might try and find those honeycomb grill for the lower and have that fitted..
Many cars out there dont have anything in the lower grill area.

Remove the grill, and create whats essentially a large rectangular pipe/port out of fiberglass to put in its place. Paint it perhaps 25%gloss/75%matte.
A lot of work would be involved getting it just right (designing, molding, sanding, filling, painting and finishing the fiberglass), but the car would look really finished with a nice port style scoop leading up to your intercooler.

thats my white gti with no grill, it looks sweet in real life and you cannot see the grill clips as i have modified the orginal grill . cut out the slats and fiberglassed the sides filled and painted , then it just slotts in giving a nice finish! also you could put mesh behined if you wanted !

After
oh and a sneaky boost gauge pic
hope this helps people to decide!

I appreciate the negative comments as much as the positive..Originally posted by Chrisuk-polo View Postthats my white gti with no grill, it looks sweet in real life and you cannot see the grill clips as i have modified the orginal grill . cut out the slats and fiberglassed the sides filled and painted , then it just slotts in giving a nice finish! also you could put mesh behined if you wanted !

Petrina I think if you do something similar to what Chrisuk has done it will finish the job off nicely. if you just leave it with nothing there then it will look ok but it won't look "nice" (alternativly you could just replace the grill or source a honeycomb grill).
