cheers mate, according to my calculations then these wheels would sit 24mm wider than standard wheels front and back..... and would have no inside scrubbing issues

What about outside scrubbing?... Roll the guards maybe?

Edit: They look the biz if you can make em fit.

i reckon there'd be enough clearance from the tyres to the wheel arch, even over bumps.

You should also be able to squeeze 225/35R17 tyres on as well which just happen to have the same rolling diameter as the stock 205/45R16 conti's..............so no speedo issues.

Match made in heaven......... GO 4 IT [Polo GTI]

i'll most probably use my current tyres, they should stretch quite nicely - 205/40 R17's.

I don't want to steer your thread off course but is there anyway to identify this from the wheel? Is it printed on the rim/wheel anywhere? cheers

pretty sure it's pressed into the back of the rims.

5 Zigen Heisfeld 's have it . those other rims look like they belong on a torana (no offence to torana drivers).

i searched through the gti manual last night in desperate hope trying to find the offset for a 2008 polo. i also can remember reading something (think it was on this forum actually) about differant offsets for differant year models.
