We made our own - single mass steel flywheel, EVO 6 pressure plate.

We ran a six puck ceramic plate for the track & the stock Polo organic friction plate for the street.

Good combo, but probably not enough orders here to make it worthwhile.

The EVO pressure plate kept costs down.

      Correct Jimmy!

Porsche owed me a new gearbox, so we know the new ones are tight - thats for sure.

What clutch is reccommended with the APR stage 2 and 3 upgrades to handle the extra power?
        Cheers,

        John

          Stock will handle it fine.

Clutch life is purely up to the driver & how the driver treats it.

You can kill a clutch with a stock car if you try hard enough (Like trying to do a launch at the drags on the traction compound )

Gavin from Custom Code has made up a new ACS clutch package with an uprated cover with 1050 kgs of clamping force (standard Polo is about 600kgs) and a 5.5kg light weight flywheel. Shoot him off a PM (h100VW) for more details

Are they not a bit sharp on take up for the street Guy, with no springs in them?

Are you talking about the wavy line between the bit with the spline and the next bit out with the rivets?

Don't look like much spring in there.

You obviously need to see them in the flesh - they are German made & well up to the task.

Project Polo ran them for 18 months & there are several "hot" Polo's including
K04 versions still happily running them.

Does APR offer these as a kit?
                          Cheers,

I saw a scrap one on Saturday in Brisbane Guy and couldn't see anything that looked like springing, as I understand it.

Maybe I'll have another look at it next month when I come up again.

They are very similar money mate. The major benefit is the Australian supply.
