Hi again all, ok I see that many of you have upgraded your systems so hopefully someone out there will be able to help me.
I have done this will many of me cars, I just haven't had time or the chance to do the polo.
Now what I usually do is I leave the standard head unit. I wire the rear speakers to a low pass filter enabling me to wire it to an amp. This then allowing me to use my speaker box . I only normaly run the standard front speakers to allow for a little surround and disconnect the rears.
Different ways of doing this is to either go straight from the rear speaker wires (That is Disconnect the rear speakers and use that wiring directly to the low pass filter then to the amp) or just finding the rear output from the deck and go from there.
I would rather do it from the rear speakers, as it is easier and there is no need to take the head unit out.
Has anyone taken the rear trims off? any tips or secrets in doing so???
Also is the current wiring , just normal wiring that I can tapp into or is it a Can bus network, where a special connector is required??
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm an OLDSKOOL bloke that messes around with Pre 80s cars... maybe I should just stick to that..hahahah
Thanks again.
