  • New foot arrived!!

Got a set of 17" OZ wheels (8x17 ET 35) fitted today!
    with Hankook Ventus V8 RS H424 (215/40 R17)

First feeling of the 17" a bit slow in pickup, but thats alright, since we have a turbo

the tyres are way better then the stock one.... ContiSportContact 2

The hankook H424 is a good tyre and good for budget as well! I can finally feel silence again! but still need to test few more KMs.... and let it run-in

Okay i'll stop here and let the pic speak.
sorry for the bad pics... i'll take some better pics tmr

    Front:

    no clash

The next project will be lower it to get a better handling

Kelvnii those rims look hot! Those Oz rims sure look expensive. I really love how much wider they make the stance look. So no rubbing either? Thats good to know for future reference. I'd love to get some Oz rims myself at some stage.
I also got to say how wierd it is to see the GTI in a 4 door! Only thought it came in 3. Learn a new thing everyday as they say.

Those wheels look great mate, I too never knew that these came out in 4 door versions in other places around the world.

The stretch looks like a good measure to avoid strut clearance issues, great work.

ya before me and the shop worrys about the rubber issue, but after he fits in the tyres in it just perfect! without any problems!

the rim size is 8x17 ET 35 and the rubber is 215/40 R17, but i think 205/40 R17 will be better if lower it, i'm still thinking get the eibach springs to lower 35mm, anyone have them fitted? and how its handle? did you change the dampers as well?

or get the Koni dampers with eibach springs?

check out the OZ website it shows the rim size for our polo 9N / 9N3

I'm not sure if the Eibachs go as low as 35mm. From the many threads on suspension it seems that the H&R springs are the springs of choice as they go bit lower. Could be mistaken but I think thats the story. Many have the H&R springs teamed up with Bilstein b8s. It is an awesome combination.

If you do lower it I think you will find that there will be some rubbing with the 215s but to tell you the truth, it looks pretty good as you have it now.
