Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. I am looking at Buying the new Polo Gti. I was wondering does anyone know what the change over price from stock Denver Alloy Wheels to 17" R Line Alloy Wheels or if there is cheaper alternative. Thanks for your help in advance.

Ooooh! I can see the reply now! Naff wheels! gtigrl has had the computer flashed so her Polo has a lot more power. As does Pologti. We will se how Rob goes in the hillclimb down here in Hobart on sunday. He is running some new beetle steel wheels on the day.
Once again, welcome. What colour polo are you going to order? Saw a couple of red ones in Melbourne the oyher week, looked good.

I live not far from harding performance so i will be going to see them as soon as i get the car. We want a white one and now im tossing up if i should get leather or not. Whats everyone think?

You won't. People on this forum are much too friendly and cooperative for that .....I understand that other forums have had this problem but it won't happen here.

I personally prefer cloth. Leather smells and feels great when it's new, but in the OZ sun it suffers. If you do get it make sure you tint the windows. Oh.. and a big welcome form admin!

The fact that i got welcomed by more than 1 person proved that.

Harding performance does the APR in QLD. That is the brand I use here in Hobart and it has been very successful. Greatly improves the driveability and power. Awesome difference! Takes less than an hour and you can swith it back to stock anytime.
Bugracer does GIAC in the Sydney area.

Pologti will be getting on here sometime soon. He was saying the R line wheels were dearer than BBS alloys! Look around first I say! He also can tell you what he found out about suspension. Cheers, Andrew

Hey Welcome to the forums I too have a Polo GTI a white one now has over 13k on the clock so happy with it good buy for the price.
R line wheels where around 2k and i believe that they are or might be a knock of the OZ rims called Aristos that were found on the R32 MK4, not sure tho not cheap at all. If you wish in the future to do any suspension work to the car i would wait till your suspension is fitted before getting rims, space is tight under the polos gaurds.

                      RS4 alloys didnt fit 18X7.5

I pretty much like everything about my car... maybe lack of decent cup holders?? But having said that getting the chip flashed by APR has made the car way more fun to drive, it has however developed a small flat spot at 5grand but I don't fang it too much on the normal roads so not much of a problem.
As Andrew said, yeah I don't like the wheels they are a bit lame but will do till the cash becomes available to get better looking ones.

I did do alot of road testing of other cars Citroen VTR, Purgeot GTI and Audi A3 but this car was my favourite by far

Cool thanks everyone for your advice. I think i will take PoloGTi advice and wait on the rims till the suspension is done. Do either of you to have leather. is it worth getting.

No leather seats but leather steering wheel and covers on gear shift and handbrake Wouldn't get leather up there you'll fry your arse in summer and the quality is not that good. Seen a few with leather and they have stitching problems a few months after delivery, but up to you really!
