I know what little damage I had to my car cost nearly $4,000 to fix... Most of that was in labour mind you for paint and panel work.

From the quote I recieved for my fix, the cost of parts looked quite reasonable... that being said it was the back and not the front where all of the moving doo-hickies are

My latest bingle cost $5600 in labour alone!! I hate to thing about parts, but the biggest bits were the Bonnet and front bar. Lucky there was nothing structural....

Yeah the panel work seems reasonable - about $1700. It's the motor ancilliaries - $5000+.

I should have been a panel beater instead of spending 4+ years at Uni doing engineering - Would have got paid more

Alternator will be the same on all Polos I`d say.
