Also, Oettinger has a price listed as well - not just APR.

The OP was just asking a question that I don't believe has been answered in a concise form within this forum of yet.... Normally any threads realted to chips contain at most a page of useful info buried in the middle and six plus pages of $hit!!!

Off the cuff I believe the prices are something as follows -

          APR - $1,750
          Oettinger - $1,900
          GIAC - $1,300
          Revo - $1,395
          Custom Code - $1,100

Of those listed above APR and Revo will give you a free 5 hour trial to see if you like the changes (which you will) and make a more informed decision.

I hoped this answered your questions

Slighty off topic, but does anyone know if it's possible to get a Cup tune on the GTI?

Do you mean from the Polo Cup? I don't reckon that would go as well as a tune from the aftermarket.

I know that some Audi dealers in the UK were flashing 2wd A3s, with the software from the quattros. The qs had 180 instead of 150 hp.

You're right, but I'd rather sacrifice the extra power I'd get from an aftermarket tune and get a "VW approved" tune, if you know what I mean? I know it's probably all in my head, but after driving a GIAC tuned Polo GTI, I couldn't shake the feeling that the Polo Cup wouldn't behave as aggressively even under light throttle.

Someone on here once said that it was like a "scalded cat" and I now understand what they meant. I know this will sound silly to many of you, but that's just how I feel.

I don't wish to pull this thread completely off track, so if someone has any info on how I might go about getting a Polo Cup tune, please PM me.

I'd have to say ... I can't think of anyone on this forum who either has a Polo Cup tune ... or knows how to get one ... but I could be wrong.

I imagine that if you wanted the genuine VW flash to cup specs, 1, they wouldnt know what you meant locally and 2, it would end up a lot dearer than aftermarket reflashes!!!
