  • Koni Experience

    Hey guys,

Recently got my Koni sport kit put in. However, it seems that everytime I go over a larger pothole, or similar that the suspension tends to hit the bump stop(?), creating a loud THUD.

I know there are a few of you who has the same kit, what is your experience in terms of pot hole? are you having similar situation?

I dialled in a harder setting on the shockabsorber (1.5 turn), but it still hitting the top.

    Thanks,

    Adam

For sure you have one !! We all have one in fact !
Unless you have removed it since you bought the car...
It's just that the stock one is not adjustable like whiteline's.

              Hey Len,

The label on the box say "8710-1404SPORT"

Had a look on the catalogue on koni's website, says for "Polo 3, excl. 'fun' types"

Did the shop got me the wrong kit?

              Adam

When I fitted my Koni's[with Eibach springs] the suspension travel was pretty much zero-it was virtually sitting on the bump rubbers at the front.
Eibachs don't lower the car a lot,so even standard wouldn't have been much.
Cut about 15mm off the front bump rubbers improved things somewhat.
                    Cheers
