    Hey guys,
Having decided to keep my pogo for a couple more years, I've decided to take the plunge and chip it The 10% increase in price isn't so great though...
Anyway, I checked out APRs website and the only place listed that supplies APR goods in Melbourne is the next suburb across from me, Volkswpower. Have you any of you guys dealth with them? What was your experience like? Cheers fellas

Dean did our Jetta a few months back... always been nice to deal with, friendly and offered lots of advice for further mods etc. Just talking with him you can tell he is passionate about vdubs.

Deans great, even offered to give me my tune on tick when my credit card got declined, had a good chat went through some other mods I could be interested in and the volkspower drive days, didn't have any problems. Haven't been back but will when I've accumulated enough extra mods to be fitted.

Ahh awesome. Does he do the free trial? And whats the process like, do I book the car in, leave it there for a day, then come back and pick it up?

Yes to the trial. It takes like 10 minutes to flash the ECU. I'm sure a call ahead of time to let them know would be enough.

Give Dean a call. He told me to ring him the day before i was gonna drop in to organise a time. that way he can make sure he is there at the specified time. It took about 15-20 minutes to do mine and he did it as soon as i turned up. he can install the trial if you wish.

no need to book just need to make sure dean is there, just buy it unless you are comparing to other tunes cos you'll miss it as soon as the trial is over.

Does the price quoted on APR include installation btw? Ohhh, and I know you use the cruise control stalk to switch programs, but does that mean i wont have cruise control anymore? Do I get to choose the programs?

                    Yes
                    No, cruise control still works.
You get stock and the 98 RON tune (unless you pay extra to get others). You can switch between them at any time, takes about 30secs-1min.

Another vote for Dean. Easy to deal with, even on a busy Saturday morning.

I got the trial, drove around the block and then got the permanent version. Yet to hear of anyone that trialled and then didn't go ahead.

Everything still works like normal once installed, the only time you need to do anything special with the cruise buttons is when you want to switch between modes, which is only possible if you hold down the right buttons when you first turn on the ignition.
