  • Opinions on "bogan" (sorry) rim?

    Hi Folks,

This seems to be IMO one of the besy quality, locally backed with 5yr wty wheels that fit(ish) my Polo Gti that I can find in Oz without bringing something in. Its just that its a "HSV" rim, kinda would look outta place on a Polo Gti but quality and $$ are there.....love some feedback?

If the boot fits, and looks good, and the price is good - why not?

Dont be afraid to stand out a bit. Someone has to be the first.

Just dont get chrome ones. or make your car look ricey.

Donno if that particular rim would suit polo though.

Fully agree with Jarred there, chrome dont go down well.

they look polished to me? i dun think they'd be too bad, but they're angular (dont fit the polo lines)

            i reckon vw + multispoke/mesh = win.

i think they r a nice rim just dont think would suit a polo, they are a bit too big and bulky looking

Just remember.....you are the only one that has to be happy with you're purchase.

Price is forgotten long after quality is remembered. A bird in the han....

I think you know what I mean.

Are those the ones on the current HSVs? They look alright...but only on HSVs.

They look pretty sweet on the "E-Series" HSVs. Personally I wouldn't fit them to anything VW but that's just me. They could look tits though - get a Photoshop done first and see what you think then..

The thought of Corvette wheels on a Golf sounds like an awful idea, but I've seen a few photos on Vortex and they actually look quite decent if done correctly.

X2 they are a great looking wheel on the Holdens, but i think something more classier belongs on a VW.

Im not sure what the wheel shops are like over in perth but, id visit a few of the larger shops. Find out what wheels will fit the car and sit them next to it and take some photos, you might end up loving a wheel you never thought you'd even consider.

Another thing to consider is if they dont have much on offer, check out the major wheel shops in Sydney and in Melbourne as alot of them will ship wheels anywhere in aus for reasonable money.
