  • Engine Ping ?

Just wondering if anyone has had any problem with engine ping? Except for the APR Ver.2 flash my pog is standard. I have been running BP ultimate exclusively but recently have noticed the engine seems to ping a bit under load.

I have been using the same BP servo (which is where the local VW dealership fills up all their cars) so it may be a bad batch and just a coincidence that I noticed it after having Ver.2 loaded.

I am due to fill up so I will try a different servo, possibly Mobil and see how it goes.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have found V power to be better in my Audi over BP ultimate. Could be a bad batch or maybe a heat soaked intercooler if you were stuck in traffic at the time?

If it continues, I'd run it back to your APR agent and have it checked out.

Doesn't the polo have a knock snesor... The ECU automatically retards timing at the slighest onset of knocking (i.e. pinging) so I am thinking your problem might be related to something else
