Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

hey man......
isnt this what holden boys were saying ten years ago? "the extra long wheelbase extra heavy hsv wagon (aka futer spec polo) handles like A DREAM around corners..."?
objectively, think of the polo 6-7 yrs from now.
hopefully, nice chassis, but it will seriously be as wide, and almost as long, as the current model holden ss sportwagon.
rip on me if you will, but didnt ferrari say that due to safety standards, their lightest car in 2010 will still be atleast 1750kgs?

I kinda like the front. Its got a more agressive stance and much wider tyres/wheels and the rear, although clearly unfinished, looks a massive improvement. Having said that it does resemble the wrx a bit too much. Also if you ask me it looks roughly the same size. 4 Doors does give it the peception of being longer but judging from the driver it still looks the same size. Would be easier to judge if in 3 doors.
Anyway its a bit pointless passing judgement when its not even made yet! I reckon in the flesh it's gonna have potential. Engine size wont phase all but the most fastidious enthusiest such as ourselves but we are not the target market. The 1.4TSI pulls 125Kw in the Golf GT so in a car the size & weight of a polo I dare say in stock form it will be pretty quick and most people will find that more than enough power. Anyway just my thoughts.APR V2 Tuned, APR Dogbone mount, APR R1 DV, K&N Panel Filter, SEAT Intake, Forge TIP & FSB, Bilstein & H&R, Whiteline RSB, Full Milltek 2.5" exhaust

The first photo of the blue GTI looks wicked and mean (like a dragon)
But the second photo of the white Polo shows off a Korean style rear. I doubt its validity, the lines on the door are completely different to the GTI. They wouldn't change door panels between models, surely! Also, I doubt they'd slope the rear even more than the Golf MKVI.MY14.5 VW Polo 81tsi Comfortline - Candy White - Comfort Pack
