  • Polo GTI Cup body kit

Hey guys I have had a lot of emails and private messages in regards to sourcing the Polo GTI Cup body kit so have been making some enquiries on what it would cost to get them into the country.

being an OEM kit its definately not cheap! Likely to cost between $2900 - $3200 as a rough idea. That would include virtually every trim piece and screw needed to fit the kit properly though. It could be possible to say only get the front bumper cover and the rear spoiler sort of thing?

Just wondering what peoples thoughts were in regards to the kit? Personally im a fan of the kit but the pricing would make it for serious contenders only!

    What do you guys reckon?
Heres a few pics for people that dont know.

Tim i lov the kit but at that price surely a local company could build a rip off of it for a lot less, yes fitting etc may not b as good but i dont think it would be far off

I'm guessing at that price it's unpainted?

yyyyyyep it would be unpainted of course. As usual you gotta pay to play. I can assure you that the expensive price tag would not be due to profiteering. This is an OEM product at OEM pricing. The poor exchange rates at the minute arent helping either

rip off kits are usually done in fibreglass which is usually horrible for fitment. especially after a few years it all starts to look sad.

pricing is not firm yet. Consider it an indication. But yes hopefully that would include freight to your door.

Consider this thread a bit of market research just cos ive had so many people ask for it. The problem is asking and buying are two different things

I'd throw my cash at it but it wouldn't be any time soon, wouldn't want the roof spoiler though. (payment plan?? )

Price is high but thats free and clear in the country only other kit I can think of that you can buy is the carectara (sp?) one and it cost about the same and if you search Naughty posted some pics of it on some polos in South Africa and it fits like ****.

As i said earlier perhaps parts of the kit may be more popular than others. The rear spoiler is a pretty expensive part just on its own so taking that out would save a considerable amount

Serious? it's bulbous, over hangs to the sides and ruins the flow of the car IMO.

Don't like the miss match honeycomb on the front too but I could live with that

To be brutally honest, I am completely happy with the look of the standard Polo GTI. I like having the Foggies, and I think it has the right look.

^ agreed. I'd go as far as saying I hate the Cup bodykit.
