Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hello, long time reader first post member here.

So i have a polo gti and when i turn the headlights on with or without the car turned on there is a ticking noise coming from the driver side headlight.
I assume it is the actuator that controls the up and down movement of the lights. Has anyone experienced this or know what's up?

I've searched google and all it says is car won't start... starter motor etc..
    Cheers,

park the car facing a garage door. when you adjust the headlight level adjsuter, does the drivers side one move? Or when it is clicking put your hand onto the back of the headlight. Feel any clicking or vibration?

So sorry for late reply. The light does not move up and down against the wall. Also there is vibrating towards the middle of the light.
