i think somewhere inbetween the two would be great. My ideal would be to have equal clearance all the way around the wheel. I think about 40mm drop from the stock GTI heights would be good. I just hate when it looks like the wheel is underneath the panel, it just looks wrong in my opinion. But minimum clearance looks sweet. Can anyone advise of me of what setup would give that height. about 25-30 mm clearance around the tire. Also would that result in a much harsher ride?

Its a VW it should be so low that its belly is about to scrape! I think it looks sweet on the K-MACS'.

I can understand why you would want to get rid of them. I had K-MAC on one of my previous cars. It was 2.5' lowered and it wasnt a smooth ride. The funny thing about that was that it actually got smoother if you had more people in the car.

Without looking to hectik and if they were coilovers I would actually say that looks like a decent drop seems like a little higher then what the VR6 will be sitting at

I loved the Slammed look but it was just to uncomfortable to drive most of the day on our **** sydney roads

I had Kmac's in my old car it was lowered 4' on the front and 4.5' on the rear

It drove great also on on standard shocks

                    For how many km's?

A mate had K-mac springs in his lancer on stock shocks. They blew in 15,000km's.

I saw a Hammer with the red line on the tyre wall on the weekend, Definitely not as good as it is on the actual wheel... actually, it looked really bad cuz the line was relatively thick as well!!

reason i ask is if there is someone with the same profession up here they could prob do the same thing for me or direct me to someone who can.

I know RedVan do it in Sydney, they'll come to you.

                            http://www.redvan.com.au

                            From the site

"Pricing starts at AUD$120 inc GST for four tyres of the same colour up to 15mm (0.6")"

The price and the pic below put me off getting it done unless I can find someone tha does like 5mm
