  • Help: Rear Break Sizing for 2006 Polo GTI

Hi there. Hope you can help:

I don't care too much about buying 232mm vs 256mm I just want to buy the part that fits. I would be grateful if someone could steer me in the right direction?

Extra marks if you can recommend me good pads to pair with rotors. Fronts are 312mm (DBA T3 4000 Performance Slotted Brake Rotor Pair Front DBA4838S | Sparesbox).

    James.

A 256mm disc will be vented. If you don't have vented rears, it's 232mm

For brake pads, Remsa's are generally a great all rounder. All good daily, but can also handle moderate track time - they'll outlast a street tyre on track. Bendix do alright, but you'll pay almost double the price for negligible benefit.

Yeah I agree with Sean - remsas will do for the street. If you are going to drive like a nut on the street or do some track stuff then Ferodo DS2500's are another off the shelf pad that's a step up from the remsas.

try brakes direct. More technical knowledge. Bigger variety of brands.

I've also found hawke brake pads work well too for both street and track
