  • Would this muffler fit our Polo GTIs?

I am keen on remus exhaust, and this price seems quite good.

What do you think? would the dimension fit our GTI? just keen on improving the exhaust noise..

i don't think 1.8L is considered high capacity.

however, i don't see why it wouldn't fit because our mufflers are large and straight like this. get the dimensions and take note of the inlet and outlet locations of the stocko....it could very well work.

Yeah it should fit. I have a Remus muffler on mine and it's the same sort of shape as that one, it's just got upswept tips. Sound is fuller and deeper but not too loud. Also noticed a bit more midrange power, I think the stock unit is quite restrictive.

Hmmm, looks like the unit Remus use for their display units.

I'd be a little suspicious, esp. since the 'input' side to the muffler doesn't go anywhere - I wonder if it's just a mocked up one for displays?

I don't think oval mufflers this big will fit our cars mate (2x3.25" tips + ~1" clearence round = 19cm in width total) ... muffler must be round

Yeah mate, just the muffler welded on. Will do the whole exhaust, turbo back sometime soon, but there is other stuff to do before that.

how much did cost for the muffler and labour to get them welded on?

also, you wouldnt happen to have a photo of the back of your whole car would you? just want to see how big they are in comparison to the vehicle

                    cheers
