  • Pay as your drive - Insurance

Thanks for the link. Tried it out but they were $450 more expensive than NRMA which isn't limited to KMS. Would probably be worth it if you only had a sunday driver though.
    Cheers,

    John

haha what a rubbish idea, it might work for weekend warriors but I average over 35K kms a year.

It's asking about $1200 more then NRMA. Actually just recently I hunted around for Insurance. I think it's cause I've been with NRMA for 6-7 years but everyone else was about $300-$400 more then NRMA.

In fact my very first insurance policy had an $1800 premium and an excess of over $3000 for standard VS V6 Commdore, this was after a 6 month suspension for speeding, I think I was about 19. This place wants $400 more then my first insurance policy now that I'm 26, hahaha really bad idea I reckon.

I find NRMA the cheapest too by a fair bit and I have only been with them for 1 year. The only one that comes close is Just Cars. I think because it has ESP and is difficult to steal that NRMA place a lower risk rating on it than other insurers.

Sometimes I wonder about you guys - lol

It's suppose to be for people who DON'T drive huge amount of kms per year. Less than average (ie less than 15K a year) you should see a savings.

I think my quotation came to $630 for 10K km a year. Quite a bit cheaper than other policies.

Wouldn't insure me due to modified suspension and exhaust?
