  • Brake light globe replacement

I noticed the LHS brake light is out. Does the whole light assembly have to come out to replace the globe?

Don't have a car available to look but going off memory, open the hatch and remove the trim from the back of the light assembly. You should see some nuts to un-do. Remove them and then push out the light assembly, remove the wiring plugs and the whole assembly will come out (may need a little force). You will then be able to remove what ever bulb is out and assemble back again.

          Thanks Flipper,

I did some of that last night, and couldn't see the globes. I was hoping I wasn't going to take out the whole light just to replace one globe , but looks like I have to.

          Regards

            Done & dusted

Didn't take too long, thanks to the write up from PoloGTi (even had a spare globe). I gave everything a bit of a clean up as well .
