Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Polo GTI 2016 - what mods can I do?

    Hey Guys

I'm pretty new to the VW scene, just bought a near new Polo GTI a couple months back and I'm loving it but now also looking for a bit more power without voiding the warranty.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have seen some talk about chips in older cars but not too sure if this would be an option at all?

Cheers! PS Sorry to sound like a noob

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I'm biased but a good start would be -
    JB1 & JB4 VW Performance Tuner - BurgerTuning.com
You would of course need to remove it if you need to take the car to a VW dealer, otherwise it's not detectable and will not void your warranty.

Anything else you do to give the car more serious power may potentially void warranty on engine and drive-chain. Suggest you do some reading of prior posts to get ideas on what other mods. are available.
