Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Servicing cost/log template

Hey guys, thought i would post up my template that i use for my car servicing that i have used for a few years now. I've used it on all my previous cars and find it a good way to keep track of costs and what i have done. Since i just bought a 2015 GTI i updated it with all the stuff for my new car

It's probably 99% applicable to a DSG GTI (the motor code for DSG is DAJB) as i have a manual since they are pretty much the same apart from the gearbox, but its best that you double check.

That's a photo of it if you're interested in it.

It will automatically add up all the costs at the top for a total.

Also almost all of the parts have comments with info on part numbers, links to part catalogues and places to buy the parts. There are some things which i just could not find since the car is so new, i guess there's no aftermarket options yet, so if its not in the comments, you may have to go to VW

If theres anything you guys want to add theres room there for more if i missed anything. Or if you want to track your mod costs if you get a tune etc.

    Here is the download link:

That looks bloody brilliant. Not my can of oil, but looks super useful if that sort of thing floats your boat.

Can you accept my request to connect on LinkedIn so I can endorse you for spreadsheets?
