Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Quality 6R Wind Deflectors

    Hey All,

    Looking for some good quality black wind deflectors for 6R Polo GTI. Any brand recommendations for something actually good?


    Seen a few decent sets on Golf R's but a lot of the cheapies off aliexpress/alibaba I've seen don't finish well at the mirror mount or seat properly. Doesn't look great.

    Suggestions..

    If you want good quality get genuine parts from VW, they're about $100 for the two front doors. Otherwise people in the Uk seem to swear by the Heko ones.

        Heko and Climair are both very good quality and generally fit into the window channel rather than stick to the outside with double sided tape.

          Found the Climair distributor for Aus. Looking at the black sports deflectors, look great.

              'Climair Australia' on facebook however I have been speaking to Climair UK via email (check UK website) and they have been really good. Set with shipping for a Polo in black is around $185 delivered.

                If anyone is interested in a group buy of sorts for Climair deflectors let me know. I want to get a pair but cannot stomach 70 pound postage. Pricing for more than one pair is as follows.
                2 pair = 141 pound, 3 = 192, 4 = 225
                They are currently awaiting stock from their factory so there may be a wait of a few weeks.

                  I got a set of genuine wind deflectors "thrown in" along with a set of carpet mats, when I purchased the Polo.

                  The genuine wind deflectors look good on the car, and I probably would of preferred to buy genuine anyway.

                    Climair are better quality going by reviews, but not sure if they're worth the huge price difference.
