My 2013 MY13.5 77tsi Comfortline has been flawless for me, just a couple of niggles which were sorted out earlier on under warranty (water pump leakage.. apparently these water pumps were doomed from day 1?)
I get approximately 6lt/100km around town, but 4.8-5.3lt/100km on a trip, on the weekend I went to Canberra and back, used 16.5lt's of 98 petrol.
Won't have any issues with it warming up either, it's at full operating temperature within 10 minutes of starting.
Mine manual because I was so weary about the DSG, in the 77tsi, they are known for issues like shuddering, premature clutch wear and general confusion.. Two points to ensure a longer clutch and gearbox life;
- DONT CREEP - either be on the brakes coming to a stop (gears actively changing down)/stationary OR on the accelerator...
- Get a DSG tune if budget permits. Higher clamping force on the clutches, higher cruising RPM (ie. not going to 7th gear at 70km/h) and better use of first gear... Have heard and read people have a much better DSG experience with the tune.
