  • Fog light / DRL

I currently have fog lights on the 2013 Polo, but wanting to change them to the fog light / DRL type (6R0 941 061/062B).
Would it be possible to code the car so these lights operate as the DRLs?

To my understanding those are still just fog lights aren't they? They don't have the separate beam pattern that DRL require, I'm leaving my self open to be corrected here but I believe they're a single globe setup.

Technically illegal to have on unless foggy as well.

I have a 2013 Polo also, it's not possible through changing any hardwiring it VCDS to have the fog's as DRL's

Unless you put your own globe in there and wire it to the battery, then it would be on even when the headlights are on...

I tried to do this too.

The lights I have now are 6R0 941 061/062C, which are fog lights only and does only have one globe.

There is another part 6R0 941 061/062B which is a combined fog light/DRL, shown in this picture.

If I put these lights in, can I recode the car to have them as the DRLs?
