    I agree.

Sure, if you corner weight the car then adding passengers, luggage etc will affect the corner weighting but if you simply set the car up like most people then a tank of fuel, 4 occupants and some luggage will add 350kg.

OMG what about when there's an 80 kg passenger, a quick pit stop to fit different coil overs?

Mathematically, adding 30 kgs in the form of sunroof would add about 2 mm to the preload of the standard springs, allowing for movement and leverage ratios. If someone suggests that means different coil overs (which would have an even high spring rate, therefore less preload) then I strongly suggest you find somewhere else to buy them because they are delusional.

Have a look at the attached. Just for the one model Golf there are 3 avaliable coilovers. The difference between 2 is only 69kg.

        That's for a Golf Mk6.
There are 3 models because of physical differences in the structure of the vehicle.
        50mm strut with FWD
        55mm strut with FWD
        55mm strut with AWD

To see if there are any differences for weight you need to look at the TUV certification documents and look at the spring rates or calculate the spring rates from the coil specifications.

What do you mean by "the difference between the 2 is 69kg"??

          Hello,

I am new to this forum and I have been doing some research on coilovers or lowering springs to remove that 4WD look on my stock 2015 Polo 6C GTI.

I am wondering if you can lend a hand to my enquiry.

i am not sure if the eibach pro spring kit is going to give me the desired effect and I am wondering if the Eibach coilovers kit would provide a lower stance that just the spring kit.

Altrnatively what other springs or coilovers would you recommend to get a nice lowered look?

          Cheers

          Chris

P.S I am not looking for a "slammed" look just something to provide a meaner, sleeker look
