Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You have to order from VW for genuine VW touch up paint.
I ordered mine from Castle Hill VW Sapre Parts and paid $50 for TWO sets.

Duplicolour makes a VW matched touch up pen for about $15 or so. Also do a bit of research on the quality of repair you want, more expensive and involved kits will create a much better result.

My paint is COVERED in giant stone chips so I've been tossing up on what to get as well.

I had the same problem recently, went to VW and they told me they would have to order it in (it was something like $34 for 50ml) so they put me onto a local auto paint dealer who mixed up a pot for me, she got the colour spot on as well and it only cost me $10.

I have an OEM candy white touch up kit (unused to the best of my recall).. Freebie + the cost of a post pack to anyone here who needs one.
