  • Polo 6R Body Kit (specifically rear bumper spoiler/apron)

I can't stand the shape of the rear bumper on the Non-GTI Polo's and really want to add something to it- or change it.

VW apparently sells an extension that I love that "sticks" on to the bottom of the stock bumper under part number 6R0 071 610 GRU.

I'd also be happy to get an entire GTI rear bumper, or see any alternative pieces?

If you went the gti bumper you would probably need to get a new muffler also. Having a single outlet when there is space for 2 would be odd. The genuine bumper extension will be approx $600 unpainted give or take $100. But then that might look funny having the bumper extended lower without the sideskirts to match... and then you need the front spoiler... which drags alot if you dont do driveways at angles not to mention car park bump stops. Havent managed to damage mine yet though. Just a few light scrapes underneath. And if you paid all that money you might as well get the rooftop spoiler.

I'm planning on deleting the rear muffler anyway so it shouldn't be a problem to get the tips modified. The front bumper looks great how it is without any extension, though I agree it would look odd not being as low as the side skirts. I'm also lowering it to about 125mm (not too low) so I guess that would make the scraping issue even worse!

I can't stand the awful rounded stock profile... uhk.
