  • Removing front seats

    Hi all,

My apology in advance if i have may double post this queries. I'm interested if any one have tried removing the front seats of the Polo 6R. The reason for this is, I'm trying to vacuum the crevices between the sides of the front seats and the doors and the arm rest. Unfortunately my detailed nozzle doesn't go all the way in to be able to remove any debris/dust.

Most of my concerns are the sensors underneath seats. Please let me know if you have done so and could advice me a step by step procedures of what to do, I would greatly appreciated your help and time.

I look forward to your responses.

    Thank you.

Hi mate. The seats have 4 spline bit bolts. If you put the seat fully back you will see the front two then put it fully forward to see the rear ones. If you remove them then you might just be able to tilt the seat enough to do what you want. If not make sure the ignition is off and stays off and disconnect the wiring connectors to remove the seat but I would just lean it back to clean as the seats are very heavy to move and you might scratch trims etc removing them...not worth it for just cleaning!

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)
