  • Optional 480W sound system. Any info?

Does anybody know anything about the optional sound system? Apart from some basic info from the brochure I can't find any sort of feedback about it at all from google. Any clues? Worth it/Not worth it?? What is the standard system like? I'm not a big audiophile so as long as the standard system has some power I guess it doesn't matter too much. Just curious.

I didn't even notice an option for it, but it's probably because it's a factory fit option and would have delayed my order so I ignored it. In my experience, the factory upgrade systems are good but overpriced. You can get equally as good (quality wise) upgrades aftermarket, and they'll be louder, but they won't be as well integrated/hidden in the car.

The stock system is pretty good unless you're in to bass heavy music or like it pretty loud. So far I've been happy with mine but my amp and sub from my old car are sitting here itching to be put in and probably will within the next few months.

Thanks. Since I posted I've gotten a loaner Golf from the Dealership and the sound system seems quite good. I'm not one to blast it too loud. On an unrelated note I think the Auto Hold option for the brakes the Golf has is spoiling me a little bit. Would be quit handy in the Polo.

I'm pretty sure the Polo has it? Hill Assist?

Or does the Golf let you get lazy and take your foot off the brake altogether?!

Yep!!! It's awesome! It maintains the braking pressure for you until you touch the accelerator. Works very well. My wife thinks its hilarious that I get excited about such trivial things!
