Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Gearbox crunch 1st-2nd

    Hi guys,

    I have a 2011 polo 77tsi in manual. I've recently noticed crunch sound when I shift from 1st to 2nd quickly. Does anyone know possible reasons for this and how I might be able to fix it?

    I'm thinking about changing the gearbox oil, can anyone recommend a good one please?

    Sounds like 2nd gear syncros worn out....gearbox strip...VDUB..
