  • How many kms from your Continentals?

I've got 45K out of mine and they're just about shagged. Getting very close to the wear indicator. No alignment issues, even wear across the whole tyre. I wouldn't say I'm an overly aggressive driver. Ive got a couple of favourite corners but im not hooning about all of the time. Until this week I would have thought that is good mileage. But a guy at work recons he got nearly 90k out of his. I can't believe he doubled my tyre life. Is he full of it?

Mine bulged and wore and became dangerous pretty quickly (probs around the 40-50k km mark). I know for sure that the Toyo's on it now have already worn less than the conti's did. Not impressed really.

40k so far, got them rotated at 30k, front are at around 70-75% with sort of even wear happening so far, rear (which were on front) no wear from middle of tyre, but the edges are looking pretty ratty.

I've experienced some pretty uneven wear, and a little bit of feathering.

Running 36psi in front 34psi in rear, 77TSI with Boavistas. Alignment and balance done every 20k.

I got about 50k from mine i think (possibly a 'touch' more) but they still were above the indicators no problem, i would have seen 60k from them before they needed changing.. brilliant tyres though, would have easily had them again, but I put the 17" boavista's on instead.

I have a spare set of lakesides ready to go if i ever need them.. probably didnt need to buy them realistically.. but there you go

I'm pretty sure they would be 195/55R15 (same as the PremiumContact 2's that came on my 9N3 Polo)

My car has done almost 62k still on original tires on the back, however they will need to be changed soon.

If you accelerate & brake very conservatively and do lots of motorway miles, run higher tyre pressure & X-rotate the tyres then 90k isn't hard to achieve.

Dad's Subaru Liberty RX got 110,000km out of his original tyres & the only reason we changed them was because they had aged too much (the rubber was like concrete).
