  • 6r GTI: $525 for 3yr/45k servicing, reasonable?

Hey guys, am overdue for my GTI 3yr/45k service. VW Northshore and VW Barloworld have both quoted in the vicinity of $525. Seems pretty high. Any other dealer suggestions? Also, if you can recommend an independent in lower North shore of Sydney OR near Alexandria/Waterloo, it will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Capped price servicing is $450 for the 3yr/45k service, is yours covered under this?

Unfortunately...it's not. My Polo GTI is a 2011. I guess if capped price is $450, then $525 isn't too far a stretch, though, am wondering what an independent specialist would charge.

Anybody used or know of "Reliable Automotive Services" in Artarmon (Sydney north shore)? Appreciate any feedback.

        Thanks

@flyTSI: Apparently this 45k service is gonna cost a bomb for me. $525 for svc plus $138 for brake oil and extra for pollen n air filter n 1 more thing (can't remember). These were not changed at 2yr svc due to low kms then.

A european vehicle specialist has quoted me $580 for all of the above. Am undecided whether to go with dealer or independent
