Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi guys,

My polo musn't have liked the torrential rain we had in western sydney.

Both my fog lights are fogged on the inside and my horn now sounds incredibly high pitched as opposed to normal...

    Is this warrantable or damage?
    I Sell Nissans Skodas.

Not a problem mate. I would just let it dry out. Both those parts are designed to be submerged in water. The foglight bulb is fully sealed (so the bulb can't short out) but the enclosure has a vent so it can vent and dry out - give it some time.

And the horns which are placed directly behind the foglight on the passenger side can also get water in then but again as they are electronically sealed won't short out - just let it dry out

The condensation on the inside of my foglights didn't go away.

Took it in to Alto VW Blacktown, FYI there is currently a TPI to repair front lights on 6R Polo's that have condensation in them that doesn't escape.

Also, the low tone on my horn has broken for whatever reason. VW are also replacing this one too. This is a very odd one apparently.
