We have almost the same package. Anyway I'm not fussed. I've had my 2 months of fun anyway.

I read that it is now mandatory for all new cars sold in North America to have RVC as standard fitment. Maybe that's why we are getting RVC "upgrades" across all VW models

If metallic paint is the only option, take off $1700 from that price given I paid the same in the DA Package.

Ex-GF ended up buying a friggin' Golf despite my repeated best efforts and her best instincts. She really really wanted a Polo GTI. The update rips, according to her.

Her girlfriend (yeah.....) is more conservative and put the thumbscrews on her to try to be a real adult for once in her life and not want the cheeky, perky upstart. (why, why, why????)

We are 50.

I'll bet the stupid Golf isn't even a GTI.

She ended up offered $28k, metallic paint on the road. That is a pretty good deal.

I paid $26,990 in '97 for the 9n and that was as cheap as you could get.

The female dealer (unusual) really just wanted her to own a Polo GTI and almost gave it away. The dealer is a real VW enthusiast and could see Tanya REALLY wanted it.

Just got myself a new manual gti. It seems to have a burnt diesel kind of
smell. Is this normal?

All new cars smell at first. Solvents on the engine, paint fumes, solvents in the exhaust, etc

MY16 DSG with DAP in white. $31.5k driveaway at Denlo Parramatta. No other dealer I contacted would even match that agreed price. Should be arriving in October.

If anyone is okay with an MY15, go and hammer the dealers. They have loads in stock and have no idea how to shift them.

Im using a HTC One phone runnng Android.

Anyone else having issues with SMS? Phone pairs fine via BT. No issues with phone calls, notification of new SMS ect. but when I goto the Inbox in the SMS section all the names of my contacts come up as 'unknown' and then when you touch on the new SMS it says 'unable to display. this message is in an invalid format'.

I have tried un-pairing and re-pairing but still the same. Have also rebooted the phone.
