In the article in reference to the Polo GTI’s Sport Select system it states "while the system is available in Europe as an optional extra, it comes to the local Polo GTI as standard equipment."
The author also states "the Polo GTI’s price remains unchanged at $27,990 plus on-road costs." I thought the base MRRP was $27490?
Since the RVC in also now standard the DAP package may be less desirable to some. Just wish they package the LED with the DAP and maybe offer the adaptive cruise control.Last edited by Volks; 02-07-2015, 12:31 PM.

If RVC and dampers are standard on MY16, it seems like VW are raising the base price by $500 to cover these items. Packaging SAT NAV and LED as DAP would be a good option.
VW site still has current MY15 options in Build and Price areaLast edited by maxrob200; 02-07-2015, 12:42 PM.MY19 Polo GTi 2.0 DSG

Aww well... Sh*t happens and we move on... But hey I've had a MY15 for the last 2 months and I'm happy to have one before most people.
Can't always complain. I know atleast I was going to go down the Coilover option in a few years time so electronic dampers were one extra thing to worry about in a long list of electronics. I have LEDs already as I got the lux pack. So yes, I aint too happy about the RVC n sensors when I heard about it but I can always retro them in with OEM items. *Shrug*MY15 Polo GTI Deep Black Pearl Effect

I suppose it is inevitable that more "options" become standard fitments as the competition from other brands hots up with more standard equipment appearing on their vehicles at less or equal cost to previous MY models. Not so long ago, power windows and air-conditioning were optional itemsMY19 Polo GTi 2.0 DSG

In regards to Sports Select dampers, a number of the test reports used the wording such as "not available locally from launch" and comments "Asked if ‘Sport Select’ could be added to the sports model at a later stage, Gehling said, “It’s always a possibility”. This comment caught my eye from the Valencia launch day "a key member of the Polo GTI’s chassis development team told CarAdvice that not presenting buyers with at least the option of having Sport Select was “senseless”.
As a result I was of the view that it would be offered eventually, pleasant surprise that it's this early in the cycle. That and the CarPlay fitment have removed any doubts I had about ordering when I get back from Europe.
Cheers

With MY16 Polo Gti now having the Sport Select dampers and RVC as standard fitment, I wonder what optional packages will replace the current DAP and Lux options?MY19 Polo GTi 2.0 DSG

I lost a long post.....
Anyway, haven't been in here for quite a while. Still got my 9n GTI. Haven't driven it for a while, and won't be - big trouble wid' da man.
Converted ex-GF onto a sweeeet immaculate silver 9n with the lot (I should have got leather - it really makes a difference). She loves it of course.
My current conversion is 2nd ex-GF who is today slapping down the credit card for a new update GTI. $32,000 on the road with metallic paint as the only option. She loved my 9n. They all do.
Fair price or could she do better do you reckon?

With these new updates to the model. Do you think for the current owners/ early adopters that the new functions (excluding the electronically adjustable dampers) will be able to get VW retro fit the other new updates such as new App-Connect USB interface integrating Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink as standard.- sportier tuning of a range of parameters (such as steering, sound actuator and accelerator response) by pushing the Sport button
