Not much more to add here other than the one pictured on carsales had done only 60ks and was registered 3 days ago. Very nice car to drive and comes with the driver assistance package (sat nav, reverse camera).

Deposit down and picking it up Friday after I take all the 'extra bits' off of my car. I was very happy with the trade in offered for my Polo and could not sign fast enough.

It farts very easily ie at lowish revs compated to 1.4 but it's way to quiet. Hoping my exhaust specialist can adapt my Milltek to suit.

Fantastic luck to be able to have bought one already. Over the past few weeks I've noted several examples in Sydney around the Bankstown area near to VW HQ. Presumably being run in and tested for niggles before being handed to press for the launch. On the standard Euro plates VW use with the WSD prefix.

Thanks Andrew. Bit nervous about being such an early adopter. Was going to wait until later in year but this car was exactly what I wanted and I'm impatient.

Someone asked about price. Prices are not released until Thursday. Agreed to a price. Just under 35k DSG with driver assist on road. If necessary Dealer will adjust the price down not up, when prices come out. My trade in offer was higher than expected and I can't be bothered with a private sale.

Any reason why you opted for the DSG with 250nm instead of the manual with 320nm?

I'm selling my 7R (privately, done deal) as looking to trade down to save $$, looking very closely at the Polo GTI as a bargain basement performance car (will wait a few months for the buzz to die down, should get corporate pricing as well which will help).
